For those of you who have contributed so far to the “Space Trees” playset campaign, the guys at Twelfth Parsec have already met their campaign funding goal! There’s also still time to get your order in, which you can do by clicking here. They expect to start seeing their customers receive their items in July.

Hasbro tells us playsets are impossible, but Star Wars fans know better. That’s why independent projects like this new campaign are popping up all over. For more information and pics, head on over to the forums!

Funko has also announced a new Star Wars BOXOS papercraft two-sided display featuring the Bespin Carbon Freezing Chamber and Gantry. Now before you dismiss this out of hand, the figures included with the display are about 4″ tall each, so you may be able to use it as an action figure display for Hasbro, LEGO or Kubrick figures (the last two being more appropriate stylistically). I plan on picking up a set when they are available to test out.
