Today we’ve acquired a new Deluxe Vintage Collection code name for 2023: “Bliss”. Price is (currently) comparable to other Deluxe TVC at $27.99 each, no word on whom it may be quite yet.
We’ve added this to the updated 2023 Master List for future reference.
Today we have a follow up to our rumor report from October 2022 regarding the code name and pricepoint of the Vintage Collection Mandalorian’s N-1 Naboo Starfighter. I’ve been able to confirm the code name is indeed “Bridgeport” and I’ve also found a pricepoint (U.S.) for $131.99 – a bit lower than what I had approximated back then. No word when we’ll be able to see an actual product/render but the sure money is at Star Wars Celebration in April.
Update: The vehicle does include one as-of-yet unnamed figure so hopefully that softens the blow somewhat for those that consider the price to be too high for just a vehicle
According to some new Retro Collection code names I have found, there may be a third Retro Collection wave for this year. We know officially that there is the Return of the Jedi wave and we also know of a second wave rumored to be from the Ahsoka series. The source material for this new group of 7 code names is currently unknown but one may guess they could be from The Mandalorian season 3.
We have also come across information for 3 new Target exclusive Black Series figures with code names “Warm”, “Cold, and “Icy”. It is currently unknown who they are or when they’ll be released but given their climate theme, they should all be related from the same source material, and if I had to speculate, they are from The Mandalorian. Each are priced at $27.99.
We’ve added these to the updated 2023 Master List for future reference.
Today we’ve acquired two new Deluxe Vintage Collection code names for figures coming in 2023: “Baytown” and “Bethany”. Priced $27.99 each, one may be Krrsantan from The Book of Boba Fett, the other is thought to be from a Disney+ series.
We’ve added these to the updated 2023 Master List for future reference.
A possible new Target exclusive has surfaced for the Vintage Collection code named “VILLA”. It is unknown what character it may be (another Boba Fett repaint would be a safe bet) or its expected release date. DPCI: 087-26-0161 / TCIN: 87449954 / PRICE: $22.99
The one remaining figure (code name “Emmett”) for Black Series Wave 36 looks to be Vel Sartha (Aldhani Mission) from Andor. With that, here is what the full wave breakdown* looks like:
There has been a mystery code name “El Paso” that has been haunting our master list for Black Series wave 35 for a while, and based on some searching today, I believe that figure to be Cal Kestis from the Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order. Look for the reveal and preorder soon.
Apart from the Retro CollectionReturn of the Jedi Wave for 2023, it looks like there is another Retro assortment from another film/show to be released next year.
Note: the code names shown above are different from the ROTJ wave (found on our Master List).
Now that the small vehicle “expression” is returning the the Vintage Collection, it looks like we can expect more releases of that type and price point in 2023. Today we’ve added “Charlie” to the list of code names, and like the ROTJ Speeder Bike “Caitlin”, it too is priced at $44.99.
