Looking to attend Hasbro’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con? They have just released their schedule so plan accordingly.
We haven’t even started the first day of Celebration yet and we already have announcements for upcoming exclusives for SDCC. Hallmark has announced that they will be having a U-3PO and R5-D4 Keepsake Ornament set as well as a set of Itty Bittys featuring Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite. Click through for the details.

Reviews of Hasbro’s 6-Inch Speeder Bike with Biker Scout and Walgreens exclusive Boba Fett in Prototype Armor, plus store reports and a look at new collectibles online.
Halloween is this week and the costumes and decorations have started to go on sale! On this week’s Star Wars Action News hosts Marjorie and Arnie discuss the hard-to-find collectibles that combine Trick-or-Treating with the Galaxy Far, Far Away!
Also on this week’s show–reviews of two new 6-inch figures! First they look at the Hasbro Black Series Biker Scout with Speeder Bike, the first vehicle in the new, larger scale. Does it live up to the preview shown at SDCC?
And then the first Walgreens exclusive Hasbro Star Wars figure–Boba Fett in Prototype Armor. How does this compare to the original outfit, and is it worth the (bounty) hunt?
With Johnathan joining for an On The Pegs segment and a look at the latest offerings from Gentle Giant and Sideshow, it’s all on this new episode of Star Wars Action News!
Still miffed that the 6″ Black Series Jabba figures don’t include a proper dais? Alleviate that frustration and build your own! This DIY tutorial popped up on my feed today from The Fwoosh that is really worth a look. The materials are easy enough to come by, and best of all, a minimal amount of skill is required.
Marjorie and Arnie give a hands-on review of Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con International exclusives, Johnathan runs down the Toys R Us AT-ST set, and Steve the Gingerprince reports in from the London Film & Comic Con!
The irony of San Diego Comic-Con is that while everyone rushes to buy the exclusives, there’s no time at the con to really look at them! Now Marjorie and Arnie are back home and have unpacked their SDCC shipment, and are ready to tell you if Hasbro’s 6-Inch Jabba the Hut exclusive, or the SDCC/Toys R Us exclusive Cantina Showdown set, was worth the trouble.
Also on this week’s show Steve the Gingerprince reports in from the London Film and Comic Con. With a not-too-surprising number of Star Wars guests (given where Episode VII is filming) and tons of toys, listen in to find out about that European event.
With Johnathan telling us what’s hitting stores, a look at the Star Wars Celebration pin set, and more, it’s all in this episode of Star Wars Action News!
This week, Flyguy and I discuss the questionable shipping practices of HasbroToyShop.com regarding their exclusive sales from SDCC. We also cover the product and pre-orders hitting in-store and online. Finally, we wrap our heads around the latest spoilerific news regarding Episode VII and Star Wars Rebels. It’s another jam-packed episode of The Realm Recap! Click on through to check out the latest episode and feel free to subscribe to our channel and leave suggestions on what you’d like to see covered on the show.
Also, if you prefer an audio-only version, a downloadable MP3 is available as well.
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today as we take a look at the SDCC Exclusive Luke Skywalker (McQuarrie Concept) Mini Bust from Gentle Giant.
PROS: It’s hard to believe that it has been four years since the release of the Darth Vader (McQuarrie Concept) Mini Bust, but alas, this year’s offering is the perfect complement to it. The interpretive design, much like the Kotobukiya and Hasbro releases before it, captures Ralph McQuarrie’s original style and vision for the hero. The sculpt and paint apps are impressive leaving little room for improvement. Essentially, this is a must-have for any McQuarrie aficionado or mini bust collector.
CONS: None. It’s pretty fantastic.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this bust is worth adding to your collection.
You can also weigh in with your impressions on the figures we add to our toyguide on facebook and in our forums.

Thanks to Rob at JediDefender for the tip.

Poor Jabba has been bashed & bounced around all the way from Cali. This is what he looked like when I opened the box pic.twitter.com/ooRLOcpeSJ

Here is a twitter post from one of our followers, The Plastic Empire (@TPEmpire). I’d be surprised if this was an isolated incident.

Check those inboxes – HasbroToyShop is sending out shipping notifications today to collectors who ordered SDCC exclusives last week.
UPDATE: I tracked my packages enroute and it looks like a signature is required for delivery (via FedEx). You might want to check yours as well and make necessary arrangements for your order.
