Continuing a tradition that started in 2005 and has carried through all U.S. Celebrations since, six regional Star Wars collecting clubs will be giving away custom patches at their booths at Celebration Anaheim 2015. Each Lucasfilm-approved patch is fully embroidered and depicts an action figure from the vintage Star Wars line by Kenner. Customizer Mega Spotlight
Tonight we give thanks to a few of the many customizers who grace our forums by showcasing some of their work in our latest customizer spotlight.
First up, forumite Grimace shares a ton of custom mini-rigs he has completed, along with an impressive gallery of customs he’s purchased from other collectors as well. Check them out here.
Our next highlight is courtesy of forum member JawaKing, who shows off a very cool one-footed “choco-droid” and also some other very interesting droid designs in his thread.
Monsterhjerne also joins in the fun, with a group of Biker Scout custom that he’s upgraded – you’ll want to check out his repainted speeder bikes as well.
Last but certainly not least, Darth Daddy (active as usual with great new customs) has created an upgraded Chopper droid from Rebels that is hopefully on Hasbro’s radar for an upgrade.
As always, the customizers appreciate feedback from their fellow collectors, so please feel free to share your thoughts in the forums or here in our comments section.

All has been quiet on the Black Series front in the US, but our neighbors to the south recently had a huge roll out of the Black Series line at Walmart that included the Prototype Boba Fett as well as a slick Limited Edition lithograph. On the other side of the pond, UK collectors are getting Star Wars Rebels action figures by way of Disney Stores as US collectors are still coming up empty. Sideshow and Medicom give us some “Rebels” teases of their own and we highlight a few notable custom pieces — all on Episode 37 of The Realm Recap!
Click on through to check out the latest episode and feel free to subscribe to our channel and leave suggestions on what you’d like to see covered on the show.
Also, if you prefer an audio-only version, a downloadable MP3 is available as well.

Plastic Galaxy iTunes Preorder
Plastic Galaxy: The Story of Star Wars Toys is now up for preorder on iTunes with a release date of Nov. 4.
When Star Wars landed in the theaters, it introduced audiences to a galaxy filled with heroes and villains, robots and space ships, and a dizzying variety of alien life. But when the lights came up, they all disappeared… Unless you had all the toys. In which case, the adventure never had to end. Like no toys before them, Star Wars toys were a phenomenon that swept the nation, permanently transforming both the toy and movie industries, and ultimately creating a hobby that, 30 years later, still holds sway over its fans. Plastic Galaxy is a documentary that explores the groundbreaking and breathtaking world of Star Wars toys. Through interviews with former Kenner employees, experts and authors like Stephen Sansweet and Gus Lopez, and of course collectors, it looks at the toys’ history, their influence, and the fond and fervent feelings they elicit today.
