Customizer Spotlight: Peakob1

Customizer Peakob1 shows off his latest custom figures, as part of his vision of what a 40th Anniversary line should look like from Hasbro.   Head on over to the forums to check it all out!

Personal Note:  In my humble opinion, these kit bashed repaints honoring the original trilogy blow Hasbro’s 40th Anniversary line out of the water.  Imagine figures like these, on vintage-esque cards… ’nuff said.

Beautiful Princess Leia Custom

The auction has since ended, but an amazing 12″ custom Princess Leia figure was recently available on eBay.

This hand crafted figure portrait  from ROTJ truly captures the essense of Carrie Fisher’s beauty in ROTJ.  Given her recent passing, I couldn’t help but share.

I hope you enjoy viewing the images as much as I did.  For more pics of this amazing work of art, click here.

Customizer Spotlight: Raylen

Those of you who watch Star Wars Rebels are more than likely  familiar with one of the highlights of Season 2… Captain Rex’s modified AT-TE!

Customizer Raylen has gone to great lengths to customize an AT-TE that would definitely give Hasbro a run for their money if they ever decided to update their Clone Wars version of this awesome vehicle.

Head on over to the forums for a closer look!

Customizer Spotlight: Evilivo

Customizing perfectionist Evilivo has shared several custom updates over the past few months in our forums, including a group of Phase II Clone Troopers that exemplify exactly how Hasbro needs to approach these army builders should they ever bring clone grunts back into circulations in the 3.75″ scale.  Notice how the helmets are not oversized buckets that detract from the figure.  Check out his update after the jump!

Personal Note:  Nothing Hasbro did from 2010-2012 annoyed me more than the oversized bucket helmets they used on the spectacular VC45 mold Clone Trooper body.   Why put such horrible helmets on such a great body?  Hasbro admitted as much with our friends at Jeditemplearchives a few years ago… hopefully someday we will see some sort of definitive 3.75″ box set like what is currently being offered in the 6″ scale (or single carded figures, but I wouldn’t hold one’s breath).
