Pretty much anywhere you go these days that has put out Hasbro’s latest Star Wars merchandise, you see the same thing. Pegs of Command Series not selling, Hero Series X-Wings begging to be purchased, etc. Very little of anything targeted at the kids is actually moving; which most collectors predicted as soon as we saw what Hasbro had planned for this Fall. The only thing really moving out of the “new” stuff is the 6″ scale Jabba and Biker Scout.
I spoke with a Toys”R”us employee today who echoed the exact same sentiments that we are all saying here – the items Hasbro is making simply are not what the Star Wars market wants to spend money on and he sees it first-hand every day. The customers are looking, but are walking away empty-handed. Head on over to the forums to see what he had to say.
By now most Target and Toys”R”us stores are putting out Hasbro’s latest Star Wars products, but how many of us are excited by what we are seeing?
I contend that what retailers now have in their Hasbro Star Wars sections is about as exciting as staring at a blank wall, but do you feel the same way? Head on over to the forums for an all-out honest opinion piece on the current situation, and feel free to share your thoughts as well after the jump!
Tonight we take a peek into the customizing world of forum member Tonphanan, who has created a stunning alternative take on the death of Mace Windu. Check out several images of this cool custom setup after the jump!

SDCC may be behind us, but we ‘d be remiss to not mention a couple of Q&A sessions that Hasbro held with our friends at Imperialshipyards and Jeditemplearchives during the event. Check them out by clicking on their respective links and see what Hasbro had to say!
If you’re like me, you liked some of what you saw at SDCC out of Hasbro, but for the upteenth year in a row now you find their lack of dioramas and playsets disturbing. So what can you do? Go to a resource who listens to the wishes of those that like environments for our figures!
So if you haven’t already, check out the high quality resin products from forum member Raylen, owner of Holeinthegroundpro.com.
You can also check out some of the products our forum members have purchased from him and painted up themselves, and even request new items from him in our forums.
Our friends at Imperialshipyards have continued their podcast video format as Dayton Allen aka Sith_Fire_30 has rejoined them for their latest update. He gets into all his great new ALIEN, ALIENS, Prometheus, Blade Runner, and of course Star Wars Custom Action Figures and Dioramas. As many in the community know, Sith_Fire_30 is a great ambassador for customizing in general and he gives viewers some tips, new techniques, and some especially promising new product information to make your customizing easier and better! Check it all out after the jump!
After one of the largest droughts in modern Star Wars collecting history, new Star Wars items are being found (mostly at Target so far), including the very cool new Mos Eisley Cantina by Lego. While not all Target stores have officially put these items on the shelves yet, some have (and the most others have them in their stockrooms by now for imminent aisle resets). So keep your eyes peeled, and hopefully many of you have been saving your collecting dollars for the influx of new product that is about to bombard the toy aisles!
Some Target stores are beginning to put out new Rebels product in advance of official store resets. Today I came across some new Lego sets and some of the new Star Wars Command line. If you have a Target store in your area it may be worth your while to swing by and see what you come across, but remember your success rate will likely vary as today I was turned down by a store to get me a new Black Series Deluxe Jabba, even though the store had them in the back (which I think many of us have had similar experiences in the past with that).
