I will reopen the comments on this article after the embargo has lifted.
cnet.com has posted the first look at Hasbro’s figures from Star Wars: Resistance – many of which we announced here exclusively a couple weeks ago. Personally, I think they look fantastic!
Entertainment Earth has announced that starting tomorrow they will be announcing their exclusive preorders* for NYCC. Watch for the Star Wars exclusive to be announced on Friday, October 5.
*First available through Entertainment Earth
Note: Entertainment Earth used the Black Series Biker Scout graphic for their exclusives banner for SDCC 2018, so don’t assume that the exclusive for NYCC is Scout Trooper related.
The Star Wars Show has just revealed and new and exclusive set to Amazon.com: Darth Vader’s Castle (75251). This 1,060 piece set includes Darth Vader, Bacta Tank Vader, 2 Royal Guards and Imperial Transport Pilot. Preorders open tomorrow for $129.99.
Doing some investigating around my usual haunts, I came across some frightening details about a new assortment of figures called Story in a Box*. From what I’ve been able to gather, there are 4 different sets: Darth Vader, Jedi Luke, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 and should retail for around $10 each. Beyond that, I’ve heard that these figures are minimally articulated (the price point gave up that ghost) and should be available in late 2018/early 2019.
Maybe we’ll hear more about these at NYCC — or maybe not.
