SDCC 2014: Gentle Giant Reveals New Jumbo Kenner Figures

As we prepare to gear up our coverage for this year’s SDCC we’d like to suggest that you enable notifications for your mobile devices. We will surely be bombarding our social media channels on Facebook (fb.com/yakfacecom) and Twitter (@yak_face) with news as it breaks — PRIOR to the news hitting our front page.
We are also conscience that some may not like the constant notfications as well so we suggest turning them OFF if so inclined.

SDCC 2014: First Hasbro Booth Images
We know you are all eager to see what’s in store for the Star Wars line in the coming months, and our friends at Rebelscum have posted the first SDCC gallery for your viewing pleasure. Not a lot of newness yet (to be expected) but there are a few items and they hint at: the 6″ Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot and Troop Transport from Star Wars Rebels! Update: Jedi-Con 2014 Hasbro Exclusive?
There is another. We have received word that Hasbro will be unveiling an official Jedi-Con 2014 exclusive figure on July 28. And according to this image from JediBusiness, it looks like it may feature (6″?) C-3PO*. What do you think? Leave a comment here or in our forums.
Note: For clarity sake, IF this does include C-3PO, it is probably a simple variant on packaging or an included accessory. It is not meant to imply that 3PO is exclusive to Jedi-Con as we know that it will be available in future Black Series assortments.

USA Today has posted a reveal of the SDCC Exclusive Hot Wheels Darth Vader Die-Cast Car. Featuring lights and sounds, this limited edition display box (with car) will be available during SDCC for $40.00 and available through HotWheelsCollectors.com after the event.

In light of a recent article posted on DailyDot.com regarding Disney Store’s plans for not carrying/planning Princess Leia themed merchandise, we at Yakface.com have started a petition in order to sway their opinion and send word that Star Wars isn’t just for boys.
