Target’s erroneous register block of wave 1 of the 6″ Black Series 40th Anniversary Collection has been corrected internally and is now set for an April 27 street date. As of yesterday, they were still being denied for sale with a street date of August 1. A local collector (AgentWaWa) attempted to purchase them this morning and was notified of the updated street date. Hang in there if you’ve seen these at retail and have been unable to purchase them, release is imminent.
On a related note, Target preorders are also starting to process.
Armed with a dozen codes, I swung by my local Target and scanned a few using the convenient price scanners in the aisle. I got a hit on the bar code for the rumored Deluxe (D4) 6″ Black Series Dagobah Luke with Yoda set.
We’ve known for some time that the Dagobah Luke in this set is the one that will be in the third wave of 6″ 40th Anniversary Collection Black Series figures but a little bogwing told me that the Yoda in this set is different than prior releases.
No official word (or otherwise) on the release date for this set but the price in the U.S. is listed at $44.99. The DPCI has been added to our expanding Master UPC/DPCI/SKU List for quick reference.

Sadly, he suggests that C-3PO may be the best of the bunch due to questionable application of deco on the human figures. Click on through to check out additional images of this wave.
Thank you Hasbro for not printing “Kay-Tuesso” in the name pill.
