Dan over at StarWarsCollector.com has posted news that the upcoming SDCC Exclusive Retro Prototype Darth Vader is schedule for at July 21 release according to a recent update from Target’s website.
Update: Target has confirmed that they will be releasing this figure in-stores on August 2.
This morning, Hasbro has announced a second HasLab campaign this one for Transformers fans: War for Cybertron Unicron. Check out the full details at HasbroPulse.com
After a huge run up at the end of the campaign, the Vintage Collection Archive book has surpassed $231,000 in backing and is set for production! Backers of this project will not only receive the physical book, but a digital copy as well, plus a several other bonus items due to the unlocking of multiple stretch goals. Congratulations to Dave, Rich and Derryl on this amazing campaign!
Over a year ago, we began multiple rounds of fan voting by Yakface readers to help identify just which figures our readers wanted to see Hasbro make the most from The Vintage Collection and The Black Series.
The final numbers are in, and we have posted them in our forums. I think it’s safe to say that the interest in the Original Trilogy still holds very strong based on these results, and both 3.75″ and 6″ totals came to the same “Most Wanted”figure.
Find out which character that is, and check out the full results at the links below!
Hasbro Pulse updated their Instagram page with some new images of the 6″ Black Series Sith Trooper but one of those images caught my eye in particular. Due to the lack of knee pins and cosmetic differences to the heavy blaster, it appears that the above image is the TVC version of the new trooper.
We’ve almost reached the next stretch goal for our Kickstarter campaign, so we thought we’d give you a glimpse at how we’re turning a photo of a TVC Jabba the Hutt figure into the obverse side of a coin (with a few special modifications). Please note the design is not final.
If we meet the stretch goal before the campaign ends on Sunday, all book backers get a 3-coin set featuring Jabba, Boba Fett’s Slave I, and Jabba’s Sail Barge coins (in addition to all the other unlocked stretch goals). We know this is a stretch goal many of you have been hoping gets unlocked.
We also recognize that our international backers are hit with some stiff shipping charges as a result of postage rates that are out of our control. As a token of our appreciation, all book backers with an international (non-U.S.) shipping address will receive a second coin set with the 3-coins struck in a gold color. While it may not ease the burden on the shipping costs, we hope our international friends find the ultra-limited, gold-colored coins a nice addition to their collection.
Cookie!!! No, not Wookiee, “Cookie” as in Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. Hasbro has just announced the follow up to the HasLab Vintage Collection Jabba’s Sail Barge.
The official site has officially revealed the first merchandise from Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker which heavily features the new Sith Trooper! This 6″ Black Series figure will be available at SDCC for $32 and via HasbroPulse.com – check out the full reveals from Hasbro, Funko, Hot Toys and more at StarWars.com.
UPDATE: This announcement confirms our long-standing rumor reports and speculation of the Black Series and Vintage Collection “Bruges Red” trooper being this figure. There will also be a rocket trooper version this figure (with a different helmet) plus an exclusive 6″ Black Series metallic version all yet to be officially revealed.
