Various theories exist as to the potential release of this figure, but with the recent ramp up of the Star Wars Day/May Fourth promotions, I theorize that this will be a Disneyland Park Commemorative Figure. A recent blog post states that special “commemorative merchandise” will be available that day, and based on the black/yellow/white colors of the logo, the corresponding colors of the droid and the precedent for Disney releasing Limited Edition astromechs, this seems to fit that theory quite well.
