It seems that this rumor/claim comes around a few times a year but we’ll pass it on again. Comicbook.com is reporting “exclusively” that plans are in motion to release the Original Trilogy, unaltered, in its pre-Special Edition form on Blu-ray. Obviously, no official statement has been made so treat it as a big rumor for now.
You’ve undoubtedly seen various reports over the past few days regarding a proposed helmet design for the stormtroopers of Episode VII. We won’t be posting the image here but if you’re not afraid of some spoilery material and images, head on over to MakingStarWars.net for more details. After that, head back to our forums to discuss your thoughts in the spoiler thread.
PROS: It’s hard to believe that it has been four years since the release of the Darth Vader (McQuarrie Concept) Mini Bust, but alas, this year’s offering is the perfect complement to it. The interpretive design, much like the Kotobukiya and Hasbro releases before it, captures Ralph McQuarrie’s original style and vision for the hero. The sculpt and paint apps are impressive leaving little room for improvement. Essentially, this is a must-have for any McQuarrie aficionado or mini bust collector.
CONS: None. It’s pretty fantastic.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this bust is worth adding to your collection.

Toys”R”Us is offering this cool exclusive 10 board set of Santa Cruz Star Wars Tech Decks. It feature several re-issued boards as well an exclusive glow-in-the-dark Stormtrooper long board. Retail is $29.99
I picked up a new Star Wars Rebels book today from Toys”R”Us titled Star Wars Rebels: Head-to-Headwhich matches up characters and vehicles from the new series. It contains a lot of new characters and vehicle details as well as plot points for the series. I posted a sampling of them on our Facebook page, but to remain sensitive to spoilers, I cropped out the plot info from the images.
The softcover book is available now for pre-order on Amazon with a release date of Aug. 26, but you might be able to find yours in-store early as well.
By now most Target and Toys”R”us stores are putting out Hasbro’s latest Star Wars products, but how many of us are excited by what we are seeing?
I contend that what retailers now have in their Hasbro Star Wars sections is about as exciting as staring at a blank wall, but do you feel the same way? Head on over to the forums for an all-out honest opinion piece on the current situation, and feel free to share your thoughts as well after the jump!
