As announced at today’s Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest Preview for Hasbro Premium Members, Hasbro will be launching a fans choice poll for one of the five figures above to be reissued from “the vault”. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Over in the Rebelscum Forums on Monday, it was discovered that the VC186 Boba Fett has a running change to the sculpt which corrects the omission of the digital readout details from the first run of figures.

Rumor Report: Another Mystery Listing on AMAZON
Another mystery listing has shown up on Amazon sites overseas and what is puzzling about this one is that the Australia listing describes it as a Vintage “Cat Toy” item, while the Italian listing has it simply as “Black Series”. Both listings share the same Hasbro SKU number (F2886) and EAN/Barcode. The price for this item is around 60 Euros.
It’s anyone’s guess as to what it may actually be but considering how specific the AU listing is (and how general the IT listing is) I’m putting this in the TVC column.
Thanks to JTPrime for the links.
Rumor Report: More Preorders Coming Soon?
It’s hard to know what to expect with Hasbro’s upcoming Fan Fest in two weeks, but it looks like there are several preorders coming judging by the 12 listings added to certain vendor’s website. The new listings break evenly between Vintage Collection and Black Series, which is nice, but I believe four of the TVC figures are for the upcoming repack/repaint wave. The two “new” TVC listings feature code names I haven’t seen until now “FOUNTAIN” and “MARKER” – these may line up with the rumored TVC Gaming Greats figures but it’s difficult to know at this point until I find some additional info and with the doubling up of code names now. As for the Black Series figures, these should all be from the next wave and feature Aurra Sing, Tech, Q9-0 and others.
Since we’re still a couple weeks out, details may change so stay tuned.
TVC Code Names: Now There are Two of Them (and that’s bad)
For some time, we’ve been providing code names via our Master List for upcoming product for the Black Series and Vintage Collection products. Recently we’ve noticed that some figures have started to double up on the code names in order to further mask their identities from prying eyes until they are officially announced. TBS has been doing it and now it appears matters are worse and TVC is employing the tactic as well. Read on for my theory that may impact the number of figures coming for TVC in the near future.

Jerry Hancock, from the Georgia Alliance of Star Wars Collectors (GASWC), sat down with Rich Alot and Derryl DePriest, co-authors of the upcoming Vintage Collection Archive Book, and talked about this exciting project and its importance in documenting the creation of the The Vintage Collection toy line. The Star Wars The Vintage Collection Archive Edition book is a comprehensive historical manuscript and detailed visual archive of one of Hasbro’s most popular lines of 3.75-inch Star Wars action figures, The Vintage Collection. Some of the book’s pages were shown for the first time during this conversation. Additionally, they talked about some of Derryl’s time working on the Vintage Collection at Hasbro when he worked there.
Hasbro Star Wars Brand March Match-Up: TBS vs. TVC
March is a big month for sports and it looks like Hasbro will continue to play their game – pitting their champs against one another for collectors’ attention (and money). To recap, March started out with a home run with the launch of preorders for the new 6″ Black Series Wrecker figure and on Monday of this week, we saw them kick a field goal with the preorders for the reworked TVC Endor Leia, Paploo, and AT-ST Driver. It was a relatively easy score — keeping the season ticket holders happy — despite the continued use of that dilapidated Walmart stadium. Next week soon I hear we’ll get a pre(order)-game for four new (previously rumored) 6″ Black Series “LFL50” figures: “BASKETBALL”, “FOOTBALL“, “SOCCER” and “BASEBALL” ahead of more new products at the Fan Fest Home Opener on April 9.
First Look at Retro Collection Mandalorian Figures
Kaia Boutique in Quebec, Canada has posted the first in-hand look at the upcoming assortment of Retro Collection figures for The Mandalorian. We also get an idea of what the upcoming TVC cardbacks for IG-11 and Kuiil will look like since Retro Collection and Vintage Collection share reference images.
