News has been kind of light regarding products tying to The Mandalorian which set to debut in November of this year. But I’ve come across a bit of info that shows that a vehicle from the series will be offered in the Vintage Collection. I’m not sure if it will be out this year, but if what I’m hearing is accurate, it will be worth the wait.
UPDATE: Pricing I have found for “Huckleberry Hoodboat” puts this item (currently) in the $100+ range for the US.
DarthChuckMC has sent us a reminder of Target’s current markdown procedures which have recently involved those 6” TBS Luke (Death Star Escape), TVC Han Solo (Stormtrooper) and Retro Collection figures.
As a follow up to our original exclusive rumor report from April, we have acquired new UPCs and Walmart SKUs for the first wave of TVC figures slated to be released for Force Friday on October 4 for the official kick off of merchandise for Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. Interestingly, we found info for yet another Luke Skywalker from A New Hope that has a unique UPC from the Yavin Ceremony version which we first revealed in March. This could be either the Stormtrooper Disguise or X-wing pilot figure that were revealed at Star Wars Celebration, the latter of would make sense considering the release of his TVC X-wing Fighter this year.
We have also added the E9 assortment UPC and SKU (which will change for the Vintage Collection) to our Master List as well.
Looking for openers? Sponsor DorksideToys has this latest assortment of Vintage Collection figures for sale for $49.99 . (The non-mint card assortment includes one of each figure from the wave. All sales final.)
Hasbro has recently released two very good Stormtrooper figures in the TVC line… ANH Han Solo (removable helmet w/ photo-real technology; Target exclusive) and a basic trooper that marches right out of 2016’s Rogue One.
Now that I have a few of each in my collection, I have my own preference and know which one I plan to “army-build” – but what does everyone else think, or plan to do? Share your thoughts here or in our forums after the jump!
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – June 7, 2019 Today, Blue Milk LLC launches Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Archive Edition book on crowd-funding site Kickstarter. Starting from $50 for early bird backers, the Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Archive Edition is a comprehensive historical manuscript and detailed visual archive of one of Hasbro’s most popular lines of 3.75-inch Star Wars action figures, The Vintage Collection (TVC).
Update: thanks to you the collector, the book made its goal in one day!
If you have a Burlington Coat Factory in your area, it might be worth swinging by there as you might find 6″ TBS for only $4.99. You may also score 3.75″ TBS for $2.99 each and Solo 2-pks for $4.99 each.
Recently, I’ve come across some quality control issues with Hasbro’s new Target exclusive TVC Han Solo (Stormtrooper gear). Bad paint apps, warped helmets, and even melted /deformed plastic.
Hopefully these are isolated incidents, but at least half of these that I’ve seen at retail or have received via online orders have left me disappointed.

I trust everyone had a relaxing Memorial Day Weekend break with family and friends. As I get caught up on my inbox of emails and social notifications, I’m seeing a ton of reports concerning delays and cancellation notices on orders from Walmart for Jabba’s Palace playset, cancellations of Amazon preorders for figures from Black Series wave 21 and TVC Skiffs, and finally, Target has changed the status of the Retro Collection DPCI to “discontinued” after only a couple of weeks of availability (if you saw them at all). I know it’s frustrating for today’s “gotta have it now” collector, but I urge you all to show restraint and NOT reward scalpers or fall victim to algorithmic pricing for any of these items as they will all be available eventually for retail price or less (at least in the U.S.). Reach out to friends and trusted acquaintances in the collector community to help fill those holes in your collection and in turn do the same for others.
Our final polling in The Vintage Collection figure wish-list will be wrapping up on June 3. So if you haven’t gotten your votes in, now is the time.
Thank you everyone for your participation, and we’ll be having a special roundup of the final results for both The Vintage Collection and The Black Series in June!
