For those who are interested in collecting the Black Series First Edition figures from Wave 1 of The Mandalorian and Grogu, a few of them are listed surreptitiously on Walmart.com by their various code names:
StarWars.com has announced two new Black Series Mini Helmet as part of the May the 4th product launches next week. Darth Vader and Captain Rex join the previous releases of The Mandalorian and Imperial Stormtrooper and should be around $34.97 each.
Recent shipping info shows that several new Black Series products are arriving in the U.S including mainline wave 2 for The Mandalorian and Grogu, plus Black Series exclusive multipacks for Walmart and Hasbro Pulse. Look for reveals for these and more soon as we approach May the 4th and the release of Mando and Grogu in theaters next month. (Sorry nothing for TVC at this time).
Hasbro has officially announced their upcoming Black Series May the 4th figures which we confirmed a couple weeks ago. They consist of the Stormtrooper (Walmart), Scout Trooper (Fan Channel) and B1 Battle Droid (Target). Click on through to the silliness/disappointment…
Poking around on Walmart.com the other day, I stumbled across a mysterious listing for a Black Series figure that has yet to be announced. It was orderable and it arrived today and much to my surprise it’s another “holiday” sub-line figure: a Star Wars Day figure

The Walmart in Arnold, MO is showing signs of life in the Star Wars section for the first time in years.
A long time ago, in an alternate retail reality, fresh Star Wars product could be found at Walmart stores throughout the galaxy.
For the first time in many moons, my local Walmart is showing some positive signs – not only with a fresh reset, but actually stocking some new product AND the Star Wars section is now positioned at the front of the toy aisle as opposed to hiding near the back.
Not gonna lie… I felt like a kid there again for a brief moment. Pretty nice to feel a hint of that magic here and there.
Will this be a better year for Star Wars at retail? I’m not sure I’d bet the moisture farm on it, but I snapped a handful of close-up pics (including some new non-Star Wars items in the toy reset that caught my eye). Check them out here after the jump!
