The latest Yakfinities Customizing Challenge has kicked off, and the Rogue One theme is one that holds a ton of promise considering the depth of figures Hasbro has yet to offer in the ever-popular 3.75″ super articulated line.
Get in on the fun and create a custom (or several) by heading on over to the forums!
Those of you who watch Star Wars Rebels are more than likely familiar with one of the highlights of Season 2… Captain Rex’s modified AT-TE!
Customizer Raylen has gone to great lengths to customize an AT-TE that would definitely give Hasbro a run for their money if they ever decided to update their Clone Wars version of this awesome vehicle.
Head on over to the forums for a closer look!
The latest Yakfinties Customizing Challenge has concluded, and with over 50 customs submitted, we once again have a fantastic Roundup Report to share.
Check it out and see who is walking away with prizes after the jump!
Customizing perfectionist Evilivo has shared several custom updates over the past few months in our forums, including a group of Phase II Clone Troopers that exemplify exactly how Hasbro needs to approach these army builders should they ever bring clone grunts back into circulations in the 3.75″ scale. Notice how the helmets are not oversized buckets that detract from the figure. Check out his update after the jump!
Personal Note: Nothing Hasbro did from 2010-2012 annoyed me more than the oversized bucket helmets they used on the spectacular VC45 mold Clone Trooper body. Why put such horrible helmets on such a great body? Hasbro admitted as much with our friends at Jeditemplearchives a few years ago… hopefully someday we will see some sort of definitive 3.75″ box set like what is currently being offered in the 6″ scale (or single carded figures, but I wouldn’t hold one’s breath).
Hasbro’s latest highly coveted 3.75″ TBS figures are starting to arrive for those that ordered through Walmart.com, and Yakface staff member Jodo has posted some great pics showcasing the Scarif Trooper in all its glory… check out the pics after the jump!
After hours of aggravation, I was able to get the damn Nerf mechanism on Hasbro’s new AT-ACT finally working.
I don’t even know exactly what I did to fix it, but I guess jiggling it around as much as I did after removing the head screws aligned something that was out of whack. Anyways, more details after the jump!
Today, my son and I eagerly opened the giant package on our front door… I just couldn’t make us wait for Christmas. We had just seen Rogue One togeher over the weekend and this was just icing on the cake (though rather expensive icing).
While my son frantically set up a group of Rogue One rebel figures, I assembled Hasbro’s latest “big thing.” I plopped in the batteries, and turned it on. Watching it walk across the kitchen floor was cooler than I expected. My son’s eyes gazed in wonder… my daughter clapped her hands… “Make it shoot!” she screamed with joy!
So I pressed the “fire” button… the hatch opened… and a sound was made… but that was all. So I opened the hatch, expecting a simple NERF dart jam. But alas, this AT-ACT is dysfunctional. It will not shoot, and the hatch will not close.
For those that are against Hasbro adding NERF features to the Star Wars line, this risk is another reason to be against this sort of feature. Who knows how many of these vehicles will begin to have this problem over time… or even when kids get it for Christmas and can’t even enjoy it for a full minute and end up crying like mine did this evening.
Hopefully this is an isolated incident, but I would be surprised if the one family that has this issue happens with is my family. Please share your thoughts or experiences with this new toy in our forums.
