It’s been a while since the last chapter was released in The Enloe Trials photonovel series, but that’s the way it goes when trying to make new customs and dioramas for each chapter (and trying to shuffle priorities of work and being a parent). So what’s a guy to do when he doesn’t have time to make all the sets on his own? Create a few concepts, and find someone who is able to build some of the sets for you!
So, thanks to the efforts of Yakface forum member EMPIRE, another installment in the series will be happening faster than I anticipated. You’ve probably by now seen some of his amazing work here in our forums. I’m sure he’ll be posting more updates of his fantastic custom playsets before too long, but for the time being head on over and take a quick look at what he’s working on for me behind the scenes by clicking here.
With the new Toys”R”us reset, obviously most of us are hoping this means better things for the collector lineup’s distribution. Today I came across some Wave 4 figures for the first time at a Toys”R”us; which was a sight for sore eyes.
Now is the time to start getting back to the hunt, but as always these days, your chances of success on toy runs are not what they used to be… but perhaps things may be back on the upswing?
Forum member Grimace has shared several pics of Hasbro’s new Inquisitor’s TIE Advanced Prototype in the forums. It looks to me like Hasbro has hit another home run here, meaning all three of the new Rebels mid-size vehicles surpass most of Hasbro’s other recent efforts. It’s been quite some time since collectors have had much to get excited about when it comes to Hasbro’s vehicle offerings. But that may change with the new assortment just now starting to hit from the Rebels line. I really don’t think my pics do these things justice, but I do believe these vehicles are worth every penny! Personal Note: Priced at $22.99 each, these “mid-size” vehicles offer not only all-new sculpts, but are pretty well made too. No, they’re not Hasbro’s finest achievement but for what the retailers are charging, it seems like a very fair deal. These are light years better than all the Jedi Starfighters Hasbro’s been trying to force down our throats for years. I’ll be getting pics posted of them “loose” as soon as I can, and I can already say I want at least two more walkers. BTW, my son loves these.
