We are happy to announce a new feature – the Concept Series by forum moderator localgotal!
Our intent is to show off the amazing concept ideas that he has put together, and to encourage discussion on the direction we all want Hasbro to get back to… which is making more collector focused products… and showing how easy some of these can be, because Hasbro already has a lot of the tooling for these!
Each week when we have a new concept to show, localgotal will be posting it in the Concept and Mockups section of the Yakface Forums for your viewing pleasure. Leading things off the first concept, the shadowy Arleil Schous from A New Hope!
The 50th Yakfinities Customizing Challenge has entered its second month, and already we have seen some of the most amazing entries ever in one of our customizing challenges. We invite all of our readers who have any interest in customizing to join in the fun, and to check out the latest entries!
Reminder: As in each Yakfinities, customs should be NEW customs, and not older work to be in consideration for prizes. If anyone posts older work, it should be noted so we are aware. Thank you!
We would like to wish all of our readers a very safe and happy October 31st today!
This chapter was completed in September, but in the spirit of the season, an army of undead Stormtroopers and other creatures await you in the forums in Chapter IV of The Enloe Trials photonovel series.
Take a few minutes to kick back and enjoy the latest installment of this series as Rykrof Enloe and a small band of rebels struggle to fend off their flesh eating enemies; and stay tuned for previews of the next chapter in the coming weeks.
Massive dioramas are always a treat, especially when someone goes to such great lengths to create such an extensive environment like forum member XTSOperative has with his Red Hand battle diorama. Check out all the pics of this great setup after the jump!
While collectors are anxiously awaiting to receive their pre-ordered playset walls in the coming weeks, Galactic Merchants teases us with their first 3.75″ scale figure. Check out a full sized pic of this latest masterpiece in the forums, and be sure to follow their Facebook page here!
If you pre-ordered the Amazon exclusive Droid Factory wave, you may want to check your order status. Forum member JawaKing‘s order now shows as shipped, with an estimated arrival date of October 31.
Customizers participating in Yakfinities #50 also have a shot at winning these figures too (hint, hint)!
Our good friends at Imperialshipyards are offering up some zombie themed head sculpts for all you customizers out there. With Halloween right around the corner, now is the perfect time to place an order!
Personal Note: Why hasn’t Hasbro made a Death Trooper? Are they unaware that zombies are all the rage right now? And don’t they realize how popular the GI Joe line’s Zombie Viper was (and still is)?
Our 50th Yakfinities Customizing Challenge continues as several customizers have already contributed to the latest theme, The Original Trilogy!
The entries thus far have been outstanding, and in addition to our standard random winners, someone will win the Amazon exclusive Droid Factory wave for the grand prize!
Whether you’ve never customized before or are a crafty veteran, head on over to the forums and and show off your skills!
