I posted this comparison earlier via social media and I think it’s worthy of discussion here as well. If you take into consideration all of our rumored /unconfirmed Vintage Collection (TVC) and Black Series (TBS) action figure related items coming between now through 2021, the lines look as follows:
We don’t know how many of both lines are repacks/repaints, and if you remove the 4 additional TBS Credit Collection we just reported today, the balance overall is just barely in the Black Series favor. Interesting.
No, this is not an agency that repeatedly calls you for insurmountable debt you’ve accumulated, a couple days ago we reported the discovery of a new 6″ Black Series figure “Mando Berry” in Target’s system and it looks like there’s more info to share regarding this figure and the new “Credit Collection” to which it belongs.
Instagram follower clone_cooper_customs has posted a nice series of images showing off the upcoming Target Exclusive 6″ Black Series Commander Pyre (Galaxy’s Edge). We unofficially reported it last month but watch for it officially in-stores in October for $24.99. DPCI: 087-16-2229
Checked out my local Target this morning and found the new Galaxy’s Edge Nerf blasters on shelf today. The Bounty Hunter Blaster ($19.99) is a repaint/recast of the Qi’ra blaster from Solo: A Star Wars Story and the First Order Blaster ($14.99) is a repack of the previously issued blaster from The Force Awakens. Both should be available starting on Sunday.
I received some intel from a source today indicating that Target may be getting an exclusive TBS “Holiday Trooper” in October. If you recall, back in June, I posted the discovery of a “Holiday Trooper 5″ in Walmart’s system. Cross checking the two shows that they are different SKUS and not the same holiday trooper – whatever they are.
Secondly, another potential exclusive is also in their system and it’s coded as “Mando Berry”. “Berry” was the mystery code name for the Cara Dune figures for The Mandalorian. This new one has a different UPC/EAN code than the TBS #101 figure so again it sounds like something new.
Both are priced at $24.99. More info to come….
UPDATE: I hit my local Target this morning to get some first hand images of the upcoming figure via the self-service price scanner and a helpful team member.
The little stylized figurines for The Child from The Mandalorian as part of “The Bounty Collection” assortment are expanding with 6 new products as shown above.
The Mission Fleet line will be expanding in late 2020 with the addition of these new sets located via the Walmart app. Two Fleet Gear sets feature Darth Maul and Rey (Scavenger) for $7.84 each and the Stellar Class vehicles feature Kylo Ren with TIE Whisper and the other with Obi-Wan Kenobi with Jedi Starfighter for $19.97 each
Here is a closer look at upcoming Target Exclusive Galaxy’s Edge Droid Depot assortment from Hasbro. There are six sets in all (only 5 shown above) consisting of three BB unit sets and two R-Series sets and breakdown as follows:
BB Units (Purple/White) BB Units (Red/Black) BB Units (Blue/White) R5 Unit (red & white with swappable dome) R2 Unit (black & orange with booster rockets) R2 Unit (white & purple with bar tray)
Heesa Back! First rumored back in May 2019, it appears based on some new rumblings from sources on the interwebs that Jar Jar will indeed make it the the Black Series line, possibly as a deluxe figure sometime in late 2020/early 2021. Hopefully, that missing Crait Luke Skywalker is not too far behind.
