New artwork has surfaced on artist Gregory Titus’s website that features some of the long rumored figures for the Black Series. Mixed in with newly revealed Jedi Revan and the Heavy Mandalorian portraits are illustrations for Luke Skywalker (Crait), Clone Commander Bly, Jar Jar Binks and Zeb Orrelios and more.
Remember the existence of this artwork doesn’t prove the existence of the figures per se, but at least we know they’re ready for when they are realized in plastic form.

Thanks to a tip from Xavi Qel-Droma, we can share this new image of the upcoming 6″ Black Series Heavy Infantry Mandalorian from The Mandalorian. No word yet on availability in the U.S. but last I heard, is a shared/fan channel exclusive. This figure also confirms a listing on our Master List for a Hot Wheels Character Car of the same name.
Based on a leaked POP! List from a couple weeks ago, the full name of this figure is possibly “Heavy Infantry Mandalorian”.
GameStop has launched 2 new 6” Black Series Gaming Greats preorders – one for Jedi Revan and another for a Heavy Battle Droid. Both look to be available in early February 2020.
@MayTheFunkoBWY on Twitter shared the above behind the scenes video of thousands of unsold Funko products (Smuggler’s Bounty boxes and others) being destroyed rather than recycled or donated to charities. It is unknown where this is taking place or if Funko is directly aware.
As a long time supporter and promoter, this is hugely disappointing. Funko needs to address this situation before it irrevocably damages the brand and its shareholders.
It appears that Walmart has a secondary (and correct) UPC and Walmart SKU for the new 6″ Black Series Yoda (Force Spirit) and armed with that info, you can find the proper placeholder page on Walmart.com. We have updated our Master List to reflect this new info. Thanks to Frank H. for the heads up.
Keep and eye out at your local Walmart as several stores from across the U.S. have started receiving and setting prefilled aisle shippers that include both of these figures.
Update: I hit up my local Walmart (Blaine, MN) at about midnight and found the new pallet with 6” Ghost Yodas, Jedi Lukes, TVC Yavin Lukes and the 3 new gold prequel Skywalker Saga sets. Over in the regular aisle they had several 5” GOA Jedi Lukes and a dozen TVC Lando (Skiff Guard).
Don’t give up on finding the TVC Jabba’s Palace playset at a Walmart store. Some locations that have been terrible for stocking Star Wars in recent months are starting to get these in stock.
Let us know what the scene is at your local Walmart after the jump!
