JediInsider has posted the first look at the packaging for an upcoming 6″ Black Series First Order Stormtrooper. As you recall, the Black Series is getting a refresh later this year to a new red & black theme. So this looks to be an as-of-yet named exclusive, possibly for SDCC. Look for more details on this soon.

Derek W. sends word that those “cancelled” Legacy Collection figures have turned up at retail outside of Go! Calendars. He writes:
Build A Droid wave found in Maine. Just bought the 9 figures left at a small independent discount store called Ed’s Grove here in Waterboro Maine. Quite a steal at only 6.99 each! Sadly the Biker Scout, Tie Pilot and 212th Clone were already gone. But how could I pass up a piece of Hasbro History?

Speaking of variants, a new figure variant has surfaced that actually improves upon the pre-existing figure. Newer releases of #02 Luke Skywalker (Hoth) now feature color matched (tan) elbow pins. The original VC95 and TBS #02 releases has contrasting gray pins that stood out quite noticeably. Click the image above for a closer look.

As suspected, the initial shipments of the Black Series #08 Stormtrooper that included the “#08” sticker on the card back and bubble insert covering the “#15” have been corrected. My recent case from Entertainment Earth included 2 stormtroopers, both feature this correction. The date stamp is 50651. If this interests you in the slightest, you can click through to check out the comparisons.
Yakreader Jason H. writes in with a store report where he found the newest wave of 6″ Black Series figure at Target.
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I found the IG-88, Boushh wave of 6in Black Figures today at Target in Memphis Tennessee. I left 2 Commander Codys on the shelf.

Rebelscum forum member Holographic_Elvis has posted a new image of the upcoming “Jabba’s Rancor Pit” set in their forums. Check out the full size image in all its glory here.
He notes that the retail price will be $130, and that it’s marked as a Comic Con product, but we should expect to see them in stores soon. Is the price just too much for this? Or are collectors willing to shell out that kind of money for a set of repacks, but with a new Jabba? Head to our forums to share your thoughts!

The Realm Recap is back after the Memorial Day Weekend bring and in our absence, there were plenty of developments in collecting. Collectors success at retail has started to improve as more folks are finding Black Series figures (in both scales) at their local stores. eBay caused a bit of a frenzy this week as a notorious seller posted the first auction for a collectible from The Force Awakens — a 6″ First Order Stormtrooper which closed at a ridiculous price. Is it legit??? Also this week, new store finds from LEGO, product news for Disney Infinity 3.0, custom 6″ figures and vehicles as well as a new character name revealed fro The Force Awakens!
