Thanks to a tip from a couple sources, I’ve been able to verify some new info for 3 new 6″ Black Series figures coming in 2020, one from each era of the Skywalker Saga (PT, OT and ST). Click on through to check them out.

We’ve been sent word via Jason H. that his local Naperville, IL Walmart has an endcap of the Vintage Collection Jabba’s Palace Adventure Sets. A quick check via brickseek shows 11 Walmarts in IL with stock on hand. Also of interest is that he also found the Tatooine Skiff at the same store, yet no stock shows on Brickseek for that location.
Forum member Joosk has shared some concept TVC cardbacks that’s he created in our forums. Check them out here.
Personal Note: These are awesome… but sadly, it seems doubtful Hasbro is going to explore adding this kind of variety of figures in The Vintage Collection… but we can dream, right?
Now, there are 3 of them??? In the wee hours of the morning, I received the above image from Instagram user argent_no_1. It shows another 6″ Black Series Sith Trooper release, this time sporting a distinctive white box and the words “First Edition” emblazoned in a circular call out on the front. It has subsequently turned up for sale on Amazon.de. As you may recall, we were the first to reveal details for the packaging for the Second Sister Inquisitor which also features similar packaging design. I am now of the opinion that there are several of these “chase” packaging versions of select figures from the Black Series. If you review our Master List, you’ll see TBS figures with “Metallic” and “Pearl” after their names. (Second Sister has “Graphite” on its box). I believe these are all special packaging variants. Again, with zero communication as to what this “First Edition” Sith Trooper may officially be, it’s all speculation, but it is reminiscent of the “First Day of Issue” figures for the Legacy and Clone Wars line, the Ultimate Galactic Hunt (UGH) campaign and those chase versions of foil backed TVC figures. It does beg the question: why this wasn’t released “first” to reflect the packaging’s distinctive call out?
Update: To throw another possibility on the pile, we do have 2 rumored figures, “London (i.e. Rey) White” and “Bruges White” on our Master List as well. Could “white” be a reference to the color of the box on these two figures? The plot thickens… as the Amazon.de listing has been removed.
We teased the reveal of the new Vintage Collection figures from The Rise of Skywalker last week and today, Bossk’s Bounty reveals them with his review of the figure. Be sure to like his video and subscribe to his channel and follow him on Instagram @bosskbounty
update: Bossk’s Bounty was kind enough to send along a couple images as well.
As we revealed previously, the back of the TVC Luke Skywalker (Yavin) figure depicts the figures from the first wave character released in Force Friday. Until I have a clearer image, I can share that the above design for the figure coded named “Cairo Axer” is the Knight of Ren shown above. The figure clad in black (it’s hard to tell if it is a mix of soft and plastic goods for his cloak and long tabards that hang in front), has dusty/sandy weathering applied heavily on the bottom edges of the figure (legs and clothing) and slowly fades to black as you move up the figure. He is simply labeled as “Knight of Ren”.
U.K. retailer Comics & Cocktails has posted the first “unofficial” official image of the upcoming TVC Luke Skywalker (Yavin) #151 figure. Note the slight tweak to the packaging design. Thanks to BossksBounty for the heads up.
Update: On the reverse side of this card back reveals Rey, Sith Jet Trooper, Zorii Bliss, Knight of Ren, and Xwing Luke.
