Reports have been showing the second wave of Legends figures popping up at some Toys”R”us stores.
I’m happy to report that St. Louis can be added to the list of sightings now, as I was able to score a couple of the new Stormtrooper (two in total, across two stores).
Personal Note: This guy will be hard to army build at one per case, but hopefully Hasbro realizes that this is one 5POA figure that definitely is in demand, and will do something good about it.
Wal-Mart stores are starting to receive the second wave of Mission Series 2-pks. Priced under $10, these would have been a great Christmas gift a few weeks ago… but hey, better in January than not at all, right? Your mileage may vary, but next time you’re by a Wal-Mart it may be worth checking to see if they have them.
Today’s issue of Entertainment Weekly has listed Star Wars Rebels as part of their 2014 Preview feature and the accompanying photo shows a new image of The Inquisitor with a couple stormtroopers. Interestingly, it reveals that his unique lightsaber staff appears to have a couple modes where it can be used as more of a sword with the full [rotating] ring folding in half to serve as a traditional hand guard.
Our friends at JediDefender have posted note that Wave 3 of the Black Series 3-3/4″ figures has started showing up at Walmart in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
Newsarama has posted an exclusive report that the story arc involving Darth Maul in The Clone Wars series will be concluded via a four-part limited edition comic book series titled: Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir this May.
It is a huge disappointment that these episodes won’t be completed in their intended animated form, but at least the story will finally get some closure.
Sideshow has updated today with an expanded preview of their Captain Han Solo – Hoth Sixth Scale Figure going up for pre-order this Thursday. Click on through for all the details including the exclusive version that includes brown or blue parka and alternate head sculpt.
We’ve got another great Concept Series mockup by localgotal, which entails a group of figures that Hasbro should release in a multi-pack. I contend that fans of Star Wars would rather see sets like this than Geonosis Jedi packs. What do you think? Would you fork over your hard earned dollars for sets like these?
The StarWars Tumblr page has posted a great concept illustration by Kilian Plunkett for The Ghost from the Star Wars Rebels series. I’m loving this ship more and more every time I see it. Let’s hope that Hasbro does it some sort of justice in the 3-3/4″ line. Click on over to check out a larger view.
Groovebricks.com has posted additional details and clarifications surrounding the summer 2014 LEGO sets which include product tie-ins for the Star Wars Rebels series. Click on over for a few mild spoilers and details on some info for the Original Trilogy sets as well.
