The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of Kit Fisto from the Vintage Collection.
PROS: Master Fisto receives an upgrade in the form of a new sculpt with enhanced articulation as he now features ball-jointed hips. Includes lit and unlit lightsaber accessories. Probably the last Kit Fisto you’ll ever need – at least until they make another one.
CONS: Looks more like the ROTS on-screen appearance than his AOTC likeness. An alternate “force-push” hand (from the 2009 Geonosis Arena Set) would have been a cool bonus. Sadly, he is missing his signature smile. : (

The story telling, customs, and graphic art put into this effort is amazing… and for those of you still needing to catch up on the earlier chapters, be sure to check out the Photonovel Section of our forums.
Our friends at EchoBaseForums have launched an interesting feature asking sites from around Star Wars fandom their opinion on who’d they like to see released from The Phantom Menace. Look for this feature to continue every friday covering all 6 films in the saga.
Thanks to David Delgado for asking us to participate in this collaborative effort.
It’s been a busy couple days in the Yakface photolab so while we get our next round of Toyguide updates prepared, head on over to our facebook page to check out a preview of the AOTC wave (wave) of the Vintage Collection and then watch for these figures to be added to our toyguide in the next few days.
PROS: The basic stormtrooper receives upgraded articulation (ball-jointed hips) borrowed from the recent VC14 Sandtrooper Includes a bonus DLT-19 Heavy Blaster Rifle for extra crowd suppression.
CONS: The oversized (and inaccurate) helmet is way too loose when fit over the head. Error on the card back depicting the “original” release as being from “The Empire Strikes Back“. We all know it was on a 12-back “Star Wars” card in 1978.

PROS: Utilizes the enhanced articulation body we received most recently with the VC15 Clone Trooper. Hasbro finally gave us the Evolution molds for both weapons here – which are awesome in my book. Corrected belt orientation looks to have carried over from the VC15 Clone Trooper as well.
CONS: The helmet displays signs of discoloration (yellowing). Paint masks seem a bit off for the black details on helmet as well (at least on this sample). Lacks the weathering effect that worked on the TSC version. Orange (212th Battalion) color flashes do not match the most recent release of Commander Cody.
