Some additional digging has potentially revealed a significant detail on the rumored Mandalorian Build-Up Pack we shared last week. According to Walmart’s system, this is a VINTAGE COLLECTION set, not a Black Series item — unless there are 2 separate items with the same name, that Australian distributor was wrong, or Walmart’s system is wrong. More info to come as we learn more.
Another bit of TVC news today. Three more new TVC figure listings have turned up in the Walmart system, this time, coded with gem names: “Sapphire”, “Emerald” and “Diamond”. No indication as to whom they might represent. The pricing is a bit weird for these but it may just be preliminary for the early listing. Again , no indication on availability or exclusivity.
Once again, thanks to WalmartGhost for the assistance.
UPDATE: I have also added “VIN RUBY” to the list.
Thanks to some intel from WalmartGhost, it looks like there will be an the Incinerator TrooperTVC figure from The Mandalorian coming in the near future. No word on availability or exclusivity as of yet.
Gentle Giant today announced their SDCC Exclusive The Mandalorian (MK3) Mini Bust. Preorders are open now for Premier Guild Members and will open tomorrow for the general public at 11am ET. Limted to 3000 pieces, Premier Guild Member preorders are guaranteed.
It looks like the rumored “Project Maverick” from EA has been leaked via Microsoft’s XBox site and it confirms a new game titled: Star Wars Squadrons. No additional details yet but look for an official announced soon.
Thanks to StarWarsUnity.net for the heads up.
Our current Yakfinities Customizing Challenge only has a few more weeks left – if you’re planning on making a custom for this round, the deadline is June 30. For a look at the latest entries, click here!
Some Tuesday Morning locations have been putting out various figures from The Vintage Collection that were apparently never picked up at retail (potentially due to the Snoke / repack wave logjam). If you have one of these stores in your area, it might be worth making a quick stop to see what they have on the pegs. I’ve even heard that Death Troopers have been spotted in the wild.
Let us know what you’re seeing in your area here or in our forums.
Join us as we talk about the latest Star Wars action figure reveals from Hasbro. We also discuss the fan movement to save Hasbro’s 3.75 inch Star Wars figures. #BackTVC #Save375 #FightForTVC
A couple weeks ago, I once again joined the Galaxy of Toys podcast to discuss the latest news from Hasbro regarding the Black Series and (anemic) Vintage Collection.
Note: the beginning of the podcast features a cold open (recorded after the reveals) and then it jumps “back in time” to the regular show format as recorded on May 17, 2020.
A link found on an Australian distributor website, reveals an upcoming 6″ Black Series Mandalorian Build-Up Pack from Hasbro. No word on its contents but it sounds like The Mandalorian figure with several additional accessories similar to the Sith Trooper Armory Pack figure from the Vintage Collection. Hopefully it will include the pram for The Child and maybe his newly acquired jetpack. Nevermind, the Beskar Mando includes the jetpack. 😛 How about whistling birds, flame and blaster attachments or a flight stand like the Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Black Widow?
Thanks to JTPrime for the alert.
