By now, we should be able to have a pretty good gauge on how well Hasbro’s new scale of Star Wars figures are moving. In my neck of the woods, the first wave is starting to dry up, but Luke and Maul aren’t exactly flying off the shelves.
Thoughts? How’s this line doing so far in your area? Let us know by sharing your thoughts here or in our forums!
A very cool presentation video is circulating showing off Lucasfilm’s powerful CGI rendering technology applied to real-time motion captured actors. The possibilities truly seem endless.

It looks like the shipping condition woes that plagued Slave I have been prevalent enough for the TIE Interceptor that it has been temporarily taken offline as well and is “Under Review” as evidenced by the below message on their site:
While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it’s described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We don’t enjoy posting negative news about Hasbro this often – but you have to see the latest reports on the bubble issues with The Black Series… some employees are inadvertently reattaching the figures on backwards now – which is understandable given the general lack of distinction between the front and back of the cards.
A couple years ago, Hasbro seemed surprised when fans told them that clone helmets were yellow and green while still on the card (this was months after the clones had been showing up at retail)… so we can only hope Hasbro hasn’t failed to realize this bubble issue by now and are working to address this for subsequent waves of both The Black Series and Legends.
