Sideshow SDCC Showcase Reveals STAP and IG-88

Sideshow Collectibles has updated today with a SDCC Showcase video highlighting their recent 12″ announcements of Commander Gree and the Battle Droid. In it they also reveal the production of a 1/6th Scale STAP Speeder! TRU Exclusive Stealth Ops Clone Trooper Available for Pre-Order

Toys”R”Us has updated their site recently placing their new exclusive Clone Wars Stealth Operations Clone Trooper (aka Commander Blackout*) up for pre-order. You can get yours (limit 2) at the link or wait until it hits retail as he’ll surely be “FREE” with a qualifying purchase like their previous exclusives.

Vintage Y-Wing Joins the B-Wing at Retail

Our friends at JediDefender are reporting that the Toys”R”Us Exclusive Vintage Y-Wing Fighter has hit retail in the US in Nebraska priced at an attractive $39.99. Head on over for JD member Brian’s report!

There are also more reports (via our other pals at JediTempleArchives, Sandtroopers, and Galactic Hunter) that the Vintage B-Wing has hit retail at Kmart all over the US.

Update: Keepsake Ornament Premiere Weekend

Just a friendly reminder to mark your calendars for next weekend (July 16-17) for Hallmark’s Keepsake Ornament Premiere where you’ll be able to picked Jedi Master Yoda, Showdown at the Cantina and Slave I. All three are battery operated and feature “Magic” sound effects.

Update: Just a reminder that today kicks of the sale of the 2011 Star Wars ornaments which include the ones above plus a Limited Edition Bossk as well. Best to call ahead before heading out to make sure they have them available.

Toyguide Update: 2008-2010 TLC Figures

Slowly but surely, we are getting the older sections of the Toyguide back online after being disabled since the server switchover. Now for your review, I’ve activated the basic figures 2008-2009 (blue) and 2009-2010 (red) Legacy Collection sections. There may be a couple wonky links here and there but those will be worked out soon.

Thanks to all who’ve emailed asking about the status of the Toyguide, this section in particular.

Customizer Mega Spotlight

Today we spotlight more of the great working being showcased in the Yakface forums!

First, Peakob1 updates with several great new customs, including an outstanding revamp of the Ewok, Teebo.

Then we shift over and check out some amazing work from Stocos28 – which includes a hardcore representation of a new Sith Lord from the upcoming TOR video game – check out his latest customs here.

Last but not least, forum member Knighthawk reveals some fantastic new customs of his own, including two version of a cool fan fiction female character living a double life in the Star Wars universe.
