Better late than never. Flyguy and Yakface are back to break down the latest collecting news from the past week. Funko continues to churn out product this week including the return of a retired POP bobblehead as well as several exclusives planned for Celebration. Play Arts Kai figures made quite and impression on collectors this week with the reveal of not one, but two figures: the Stormtrooper and Boba Fett. Will these figures tempt you to the dark side? Arnie and Marjorie are joined by Andrew for an in-depth three-person review of the first Star Wars figure from Hot Toys–The Shadow Trooper!

Star Wars Celebration is just 2 weeks away–have you gotten in line yet? Star Wars Action News hosts Marjorie and Arnie will be there running the Collector’s Social Area, part of the official Celebration Collector’s Track of events! On this week’s podcast, they run down the exclusives announced so far for the convention, and tell you about the one event no Star Wars collector should miss–the Swap Meet Saturday night at 7pm.

Also on this week’s show Andrew joins the hosts to look at the first figure in a new line of Star Wars figures: Hot Toys’ Shadow Trooper. After many years of creating the single best figure line for Marvel movie fans Hot Toys has now come to the Galaxy Far, Far Away. They’ve put seven figures up for pre-order already, but the first to ship was the black-armored trooper. Watch this week’s show to see how this figure ranks, and if you have to add it to your collection!

Action Figure Customizing Panel at C7

Customizing legend sillof (Jamie Follis) will be hosting a customizing panel at Star Wars Celebration on Friday, April 17th from 12pm-1pm.  Work from some of the Yakface forum members your are familiar with will be featured in this panel.  This will be the second time that Jamie has lead up this event, and if your are going to be at C7 and enjoy customizing or are interested in getting started, you ought to make an effort to attend.

At this panel, Jamie Follis will give attendees a complete overview of the process of creating or modifying your own action figures.  The panel will have something for newcomers as well as seasoned customizers including an introduction to the hobby, different types of customizing, instructions, suggestions, and tips on the hobby, and a showcase of some of the most creative fan made figures. Instructions will range from construction, to sculpting, painting, casting and 3-D printing your own pieces. A few lucky attendees will receive random prices. Jamie will also be hosting customizing classes daily at the Diorama Workshop area in the main showroom throughout the convention.

Hunt for the Hunters at Celebration!

Continuing a tradition that started in 2005 and has carried through all U.S. Celebrations since, six regional Star Wars collecting clubs will be giving away custom patches at their booths at Celebration Anaheim 2015. Each Lucasfilm-approved patch is fully embroidered and depicts an action figure from the vintage Star Wars line by Kenner. Collect all six to complete your set of Bounty Hunters from The Empire Strikes Back!

Fans of Boba Fett were treated to new images and preorders for the upcoming Revoltech Boba Fett – now does it stack up to other figures in the line? In our TV/ Movie/Book/Game News segment we breakdown the news regarding the new post-ROTJ novel “Aftermath” as well as give our thoughts on the latest installment of “Princess Leia” from Marvel – they aren’t good. SWAN Episode 445: Maximize Your Fun at Celebration With a Bottle of Water and a Plan

In less than one month the world’s largest Star Wars party takes place in Anaheim — Star Wars Celebration! There will be celebrities, exclusives, panels, vendors and more! There will also be lines, standing and waiting, rooms filled before you get in, and bottles of soda for almost $5 each.

On this week’s Star Wars Action News Marjorie and Arnie help you prepare to get the most out of Celebration! At Celebration 5 and 6 they presented their panel A Bottle of Water and a Plan and now they bring it to the podcast so everyone can have the best time at Celebration!

All the panelists have been at multiple Star Wars Celebrations, as well as a combined hundreds of other conventions including San Diego Comic-Con!
