The Vintage Collection figures are mainline (and part of an all new wave) and Black Series Savage is a Fan Channel* exclusive release.

In the pre-dawn hours of the U.S., Hasbro revealed 3 new Black Series and 2 new Vintage Collection figures at this year’s MCM Comic-Con in London. All of the reveals are fan channel exclusives and will be available for preorder this Wednesday.

Hasbro’s senior design director forStar Wars (and Marvel), Steve Evans has posted on a few social media posts that they (Star Wars brand team) plan on “pulling back on pipelines” to preserve “a surprise for figure reveals once in a while“. I think this is a good move as presentations have been a bit telegraphed with expected announcements in recent years. I think this also gives the team more flexibility with how/when they show collectors new product and not be so locked in because as they say “always in motion is the future”.
